When you use the IMUTV App on Roku, Apple TV, or other streaming devices, we automatically collect specific device data required for the app to function and for advertising purposes:
- Roku Identifier for Advertisers (RIDA): A unique, resettable identifier assigned to your Roku device for advertising purposes.
- Apple ID for Advertisers (IDFA): A unique identifier assigned by Apple for advertising, collected only if you have granted permission via the AppTrackingTransparency framework.
- Limit Ad Tracking (LAT) Status: Information indicating whether you have opted out of ad tracking on your device settings.
- Technical Log Data: Information about your device model, firmware version, connectivity status, and region.
- Content Interaction: Detailed logs of which music videos you stream, pause, or skip, which is used to calculate creator revenue shares.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To operate the IMUTV platform, stream content to your device, and manage your account.
- Creator Compensation: To accurately calculate and distribute royalties and revenue shares to independent musicians based on your viewing history.
- Personalization: To recommend music videos and content that match your interests.
- Advertising (AVOD): To display relevant advertisements to users on our free/ad-supported tiers. We use the RIDA and IDFA to show ads that are relevant to you and to measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns.

3. Advertising and Tracking
IMUTV is an entertainment broadcaster that supports independent artists through both subscription and advertising revenue.
- Interest-Based Advertising: We may allow third-party ad networks to serve advertisements in our Roku App, Apple TV App, and on our Website. These networks may use cookies, pixel tags, and device identifiers (like RIDA or IDFA) to collect information about your use of our Service and other services over time to display ads that are relevant to your interests.
- Your Controls (Limit Ad Tracking):
- On Roku Devices: You can limit ad tracking by navigating to Settings > Privacy > Advertising on your Roku device and checking “Limit ad tracking.” When this setting is enabled, IMUTV will respect your choice and will not use your RIDA for targeted advertising purposes.
- On Apple Devices: You can manage tracking permissions via Settings > Privacy > Tracking on iOS or tvOS.
